Hi! I’m Regan. I grew up in Lenexa, Kansas, which made me hungry to see the rest of the world. And I sought out every opportunity I could to see it: I was a high school exchange student in Japan; studied abroad in Japan during college; studied abroad in London and worked for the Associated Press; volunteered through Mizzou to work the Beijing Olympics; and jumped at the opportunity of a lifetime to work at The National in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E., post-college.
Although I started out on the newspaper side, my interests and various professional roles have molded me into a versatile designer and production artist (which fulfill my desire for meticulous detail checking). I’m an experienced copy editor, page designer, reporter, graphic designer and production artist, and I remain an avid world-traveler.
In 2016, after 10 years away from Kansas City, I moved back home to be near my family. When I’m not working, I take my dog, Dagny, for walks through the River Market and occasionally succumb to my guilty pleasure, Betty Rae’s ice cream, which always serves as the perfect reminder – there’s no place like home.
